Healer Hall Home Page Scroll Section
Healer Hall classes on Dragonsfire MOO are run a bit differently from other games. The apprentice is responsible for their learning. Once you become an apprentice you will need to obtain the scrolls, they are available on the main page or via email, should you need the scrolls via email please MOOMail Caitlin. Once you have obtained the scrolls and read them over ( please read README) and when you feel ready you request a class. Senior Apprentices, Journeymen and Master Healers are all willing and able to teach classes. It is the resonsibility of the apprentice to seek out those who can teach and request a class. Many healers will offer classes and post the days/times that they will occur on the *healer mailing list. Everyone is willing to teach classes when they are online and not busy ( its part of their job!)
What classes are there?
There are five classes that you will need to complete before you
can be considered for promotion. They are: Herbs and their uses,
Midwifery, Burns and Broken bones and First Aid. The fifth class
is a physical exam class in which you log ( or make arrangements
to have it logged) you giving a physical exam to a volunteer.
This is then submitted to the MasterHealer for evaluation.
Sometimes getting classes is not
easy, so here are some steps that you can follow to make sure
that you keep those classes coming and your interest stays high.
1. Get to know other healers of different rank 2. Be eager for a
class, page people to request classes and if a class is offered
on *heal, respond to the teacher via moo mail telling them that
you can attend. OR if you cannot attend at that time, let them
know you can't but would like to know if they can offer another
class. 3.Role Play with lots of people, both healers and non
healers 4. Offer to help out or assist a teacher in a class you
have already taken 5. Finally, if you still can't seem to get a
class contact the MasterHealer sooner rather than later!
Being a healer on Dragonsfire is FUN and will give you as much as
you put into it. Those willing to work and have fun will be
rewarded with lots of role playing, friendships and a good time.
