Healer Hall's Application

1.  Please fill out the application form below completely before submitting it. Your application will then be forwarded to the Apprentice mentors who will then want to chat with you online. If, for some reason, you can't send in this application then please complete the questions on the MOO from the Records Room by typing +apply in that room.

2. Once you have sent the completed questionnaire, you may then change your title to Healer Applicant. To do so type '@title me is "Applicant"' and then type '@ltitle me is Healer Applicant"' No other rank will be accepted at this time and the taking of any rank other than Healer Applicant will be poorly looked upon in the application process.

3. Type 'inews HealH' (note: it's not 'HealtH', it's 'HealH') and read over the information contained there. Please take the time to read over the scrolls, especially the Policy scrolls!

After your application has been received, we'll avidly read it. Then, a Master or Journeyman will contact you for the online, in-person portion of the interview so we can get to know you better and you can get to know us better, with plenty of time so you can ask any questions you might have. After both interviews are completed a decision will be made. Until that time, please feel free to get to know Healer Hall, our people, and the MOO as a whole. You may think of yourself as a Healer and can begin to learn about our Craft. This time is analogous to, IC, someone referring an applicant to us for apprenticeship, and us checking his or her references. :) If you do not hear back from us within 5 RL days of sending this form, please send Master Taleya MOO mail (to do a one-liner MOO message, you might '+mail Taleya=Hi! I e-mailed you my application six days ago and haven't heard back. Did it get there all right? Thanks!'). Your constructive comments on how we can make this process easier are /always/ welcome. Thanks again for your interest and we all look forward to meeting you online!!!!

**If you do not feel comfortable answering any questions or parts of questions, just indicate this. We respect your privacy and you do not have to answer any questions that make you feel uncomfortable.*

1. What is your character's name? Please note, you do need a character on DragonsFire MOO before you can join the Hall. Interested, check out the links page.

2. At what valid e-mail address can you be reached? This information will be kept confidential at your request. If you want to keep it confidential then please email Master Taleya your email privately at the address above. We need your e-mail to send out our scrolls and other inportant information that isn't online. However, if you don't have an e-mail address, we can try to work it out. :)

3. How long have you been playing on Dragonsfire MOO?

4. Why does your character want to become a healer? Why do you want your character to be a healer? What type of Role Playing experience have you had with healers here or on other games? (If you have experience, please keep in mind that the level of technology may be different here than on other Pern-themed games.)

5. Tell us, BRIEFLY, a little bit about your character. For example, what is his or her history, both roleplayed and 'off-camera', and where is he or she from? Have you done any roleplay here that you particularly enjoyed, and if so, what was it?

Please describe what you would do in the following situation. There is, deliberately, no 'right answer'. :) Also, if the question is confusing to you, or you haven't played much and don't really know what to say, please just say so! We realize you're not a member yet and probably aren't familiar with us at this point.

6. You and a few fellow apprentices are roleplaying in the dining hall, which is shared by Harper and Healer, when a Harper Journeyman enters and begins to order you around. He asks you to bring him a meal and is quite pushy ICly. How might you react, both ICly and OOCly?

7. Do you have any questions? Feel free to include them here or mail/page a Master or Journeyman online.

Again, thank you for your interest!
