New Healer FAQ
Congratulations, you have just joined the Healer Hall on Dragonsfire MOO! Welcome! This is a short document to help you get started.

Welcome, you should type the following when you are on the game inews HealH this now sets up the help folder for you. From then on, typing inews will list the help files for Healer Hall on Dragonsfire.
First you need to add yourself to the healer
channel. This can be done by typing +channel +Healer
Now that you are a healer you will need a place to stay. When you were added to the Hall you were residented to either the men's or woman's dormitories. They are located upstairs, in Harper Hall. You will need to go to the appropriate dorm and type @sethome . This will set your home to that dorm, typing Home in the game will take you to your dorm.
Learning how to be a Healer on Pern does not happen overnight. You will need to read the scrolls that are located on the Healer web page (http://dfhealers.freeservers.com/page2.html) Should you not have web access, the scrolls can be obtained via email from Master Caitlin, moomail her with your request. Please view the README about the scrolls. You are responsible for requesting and getting classes on the game. This entails reading over the scrolls and approaching a Sr Apprentice, Journeyman or Master with a request for a class. Class offerings are also posted onthe healer mailing list *healer. Should you have trouble getting a class, please contact Master Caitlin sooner rather than later so that something can be worked out. Abridged versions of the scrolls (also know as cheat sheets) can be found on the game by typing inews scrolls
It is very important that you wander about the game and get to know people, develop a history and create a character for yourself. Seeking out and creating role playing situations is very important as it allows others to get to know you and also keeps things interesting for yourself. Please do not rely on others to make things interesting for you, you need to do this yourself. It is also crucial that you get to know the Masters and Journeymen in your craft. They are the ones who will reccomend you for promotion when the time comes. Master Caitlin has a mind like swiss cheese, unless she rps with you she will not be able to remember you ( its the age thing you know, nothing personal!)
It is very important for you to read and understand Healer Hall policies. They can be found online by typing inews scrolls when you are on the game. They are listed under the Scrolls. Please take the time to read them over!
